    Mix dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt)

    Cream butter and sugar till fluffy, then mix in eggs, milk, and vanilla

    Add in dry ingredients and mix till just combined

    Grease or line ramekins (or about 3 inch baking pans) and pour in batter

    Bake ~25 min at 350F in greased or lined ramekins until it looks done or a toothpick inserted comes out without wet batter

    If decorating: cut off the top part of the cakes that have risen to make it flat
