Supergreen Pasta with Lemon and Herb Chicken Pieces

A vibrant green pasta, using cavolo nero and blending it with lemon, parmesan and garlic, paired with Planted’s lemon and herb chicken pieces.

    Put the pasta onto boil in salted water according to packet instructions

    Strip the cavolo nero leaves from their stalks and add the leaves and one garlic clove to the pasta pot. Boil for 5 minutes

    Heat some oil in a pan and fry the finely chopped garlic and cavolo nero stalks for a few minutes, until the garlic is browned and crispy

    Transfer the cavolo nero, garlic clove and a ladle of pasta water to a blender. Add the parmesan and lemon juice, then blend until smooth. Drain the pasta once cooked, reserving a mug of pasta water

    Remove the garlic and cavolo nero stalks from the pan and set aside, then cook the Planted chicken pieces in the same pan for 5 minutes

    Combine the pasta and sauce and loosen with pasta water as required, then plate up with the chicken pieces, crispy garlic and cavolo nero stalks and a sprinkle of parmesan
