Saltered Norwegian Fjord Trout
Instant umami to dishes, can make ochazuke & onigiri & fried rice etc

Rinse trout with tap water

Cut trout lengthwise into 3 strips

Pat dry with paper towel

Marinade with sake for 10 mins

Pat dry with paper towel

Sprinkle & rub salt all over trout

Place into airtight container

Let sit in fridge overnight up to 2 days

To freeze: transfer trout into individual freezer bags, can keep for months

To cook: Air fry 200c for 10 mins / broil in oven 240c 10 mins

Mash fish with fork. wet moulds with water, fill mould with ½ rice, add 1 tsp of salted trout. Cover with more rice. Press mould to make it compact then release onigiris. Roll edges in sesame seed & wrap seaweed. Enjoy!
